The Oregon Mortuary and Cemetery Board will be moving the Strategic Planning Day previously scheduled for August 10th to Friday, October 6th. The meeting will still be held at the Portland State Office Building as previously planned. Due to this action, the regular board meeting typically held adjacent to the strategic planning session will also be moved to October. The Board will hold a shorter tele-meeting in August. The updated meeting schedule for the duration of 2017 is as follows:

Updated 2017 board meeting schedule for OMCB

  *   August 11 2017, Friday, Teleconference
  * October 5 2017, Thursday, regular board meeting, Portland
  * October 6 2017, Friday, Strategic Planning Day, in the same building as the Board's office, but will be held on the first floor.
  * November 14 2017, Tuesday, regular board meeting, Portland

Please forward this email on to other interested persons that may not have an email address on file with the Board.

The mission of the Board is to protect public health, safety and welfare by fairly and efficiently performing its licensing, inspection and enforcement duties; by promoting professional behavior and standards in all facets of the Oregon death care industry; and, by maintaining constructive relationships with licensees, those they serve and others with an interest in the Board's activities. In order to protect the public, it is the Board's responsibility to insure that all of Oregon's death care facilities are properly licensed. The Board is self-supporting and derives its financing from licensing, examination, and a portion of the death certificate filing fee (not the fees derived from the purchase of a certified copy of a death certificate).
