To Oregon Mortuary & Cemetery Board Interested Parties:


Based on interest from Representative Pam Marsh<https://www.oregonlegislature.gov/marsh> (District 5/Southern Jackson County) and others, there will be a Special Board Meeting on Tuesday, December 8th, beginning at 9am, for the purpose of the company, Recompose<https://recompose.life/>, to educate us about natural organic reduction/human composting.

Washington became the first state in the US to legalize human composting, as described in the following news article:

Recompose's presentation will be done in General Session, so it will be open to all licensees/interested persons.

If you are interested in "attending", please email me at pete.burns at oregon.gov<mailto:pete.burns at oregon.gov>. I will send along a Zoom meeting invite prior to the meeting.

If you have specific questions about the process, please include these in your email in advance and these will be forwarded on to Recompose representatives.

You will also have the opportunity to ask questions via the Zoom Chat option, although all of the questions may not be addressed during the presentation.
