<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">The Oregon Mortuary and Cemetery Board has adopted a temporary rule, effective July 6 2016 (expires January 1 2017) relating to temporary operating permit for a cemetery
that does not hold a valid license. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif""><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">The rule permits the Oregon Mortuary and Cemetery Board to issue temporary permit to carry out existing prearrangement sales contracts to which cemetery is party and to
effect rights of plot owners.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif""><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">This temporary rule will allow the interment of human and cremated remains in an unlicensed cemetery, which is currently not allowed.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
