<P class=MsoNormal><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt">Oregon Heritage is seeking a new team member for the <B>Oregon Heritage Commission</B> <B>Coordinator</B> position. </SPAN></P>
<P class=MsoNormal><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt"> </SPAN></P>
<P class=MsoNormal><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt">This position works with the volunteer Oregon Heritage Commission to develop statewide heritage efforts. Together with the outreach team, the coordinator promotes Oregon heritage and, as an asset for the state, provides training and support to people and organizations doing heritage work, and encourages collaboration among heritage and other organizations. </SPAN></P>
<P class=MsoNormal><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt"> </SPAN></P>
<P class=MsoNormal><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt">Oregon Heritage is part of Oregon Parks and Recreation Department, the coordinator works with other state agencies and statewide nonprofits, to enhance resources for heritage efforts. Projects like the Oregon Heritage Vitality report, the heritage tourism study, Oregon Connecting to Collections project and MentorCorps are examples of the scope of work. </SPAN></P>
<P class=MsoNormal><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt"> </SPAN></P>
<P class=MsoNormal><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt">The coordinator is part of the heritage outreach team. All members of the team implement projects and programs related to the Oregon Heritage Commission and help people access the services of Oregon Heritage, which also includes the State Historic Preservation Office. </SPAN></P>
<P class=MsoNormal><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt"> </SPAN></P>
<P class=MsoNormal><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt">In addition to developing the Oregon Heritage Plan and the statewide collaborations, the coordinator works with the team on key programs including the Oregon Heritage Conference, Oregon Heritage Excellence Awards, Oregon Heritage Traditions, communications and grants. The outreach team, which includes Kuri Gill, Sheri Stuart and Katie Henry, are excited to welcome someone with enthusiasm, a strong service ethic, creativity and some fun!</SPAN></P>
