Trust all is going well; I always find<br>the mailings from the listserv very informative and interesting! The<br>posting for the job certainly is enticing!<br><br>Do you plan to be in Portland for any of the remaining 'Oregon Connecting<br>to Collections' workshops? I was really slow off the blocks on this one -<br>the three I would like to attend on 8/29, 9/12, and 9/30 here in Portland<br>are, sadly (well, depending on which end of the stick you're on I<br>guess...), filled, but I did email Katie to ask that I be put on the<br>waiting lists for those workshops; I said "Hey, I'd be happy to stand in a<br>corner somewhere!". Do you know if these three workshops will be offered<br>next year?<br><br>I'm planning on showing up for them anyway, just in case - can't hurt!<br>Maybe I can pull up a chair right outside the door...wait, if it's warm<br>and they leave a window open, I can set up right outside... Together with the outreach team, the<br>> coordinator promotes Oregon heritage and, as an asset for the state,<br>> provides training and support to people and organizations doing heritage<br>> work, and encourages collaboration among heritage and other organizations.<br>><br>> Oregon Heritage is part of Oregon Parks and Recreation Department, the<br>> coordinator works with other state agencies and statewide nonprofits, to<br>> enhance resources for heritage efforts. Projects like the Oregon Heritage<br>> Vitality report, the heritage tourism study, Oregon Connecting to<br>> Collections project and MentorCorps are examples of the scope of work.<br>><br>> The coordinator is part of the heritage outreach team.
