<span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Portland’s historic cemeteries are underexplored cultural treasures. From a photographer who captured the Golden Age of Broadway musicals to a celebrity orangutan, Portland’s
graves are full of surprises. In <i style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Historic Cemeteries of Portland, Oregon, cemetery sleuths Teresa Bergen and Heide Davis explore 25 places of interment from the 1850s on. The book features remarkable tombstones and a cross-section of the Portlanders
they commemorate, including suffragists, spiritualists, Romani kings, politicians and murderers. Part history book, part travel guide, readers will come away with a new appreciation for cemeteries and an eerie tale or two.<span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><u style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><u style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">
