Webinar Description
Social media & marketing continues to be a major strategy to reach broader audiences with educational materials, outreach for different testing opportunities, partner notification, and much more. As COVID-19 has severely impacted the delivery of services, it's essential more than ever to integrate the various types of social media platforms, technologies, and engage influencers to reach populations at an increased risk for acquiring HIV infection.

Influencer marketing is popular with consumer brands and marketing companies. This strategy remains an untapped tool for public health and community organizations. Local influencers are the new gatekeepers, and they can assist in spreading healthy messages among their audiences on a variety of digital platforms. In this webinar you will meet organizations and hear from dedicated staff from across the nation who:

  * Have employed social media influencers and other digital outreach methods to promote HIV prevention messages and strategies during the COVID-19 pandemic.
  * Are conducting community-level HIV Prevention activities through digital outreach, social media marketing campaigns, geo-location applications, at home prevention programs, and other innovative strategies.
  * Designing unique social media content, performing and funding influencer outreach, developing training material and reviewing social media metrics to measure their programs efforts and impact.

Speakers

  * Manny Muro, Prevention Navigator at Radiant Health Centers, Irvine California
  * Ramatoulaye Keita, Senior Manager of Community Health, Washington DC
  * Mario Heags, Social Media Health Educator, Howard Brown Health, Chicago Illinois
