Where: Virtual via Zoom. (Register to receive the link to connect.)



Description: As part of a syndemic response to the interrelated disease states of Hepatitis C Virus, HIV, Substance Use Disorder, and Sexually Transmitted Infections, the 2.5-hour virtual training program is designed to aid clinicians in effectively integrating HIV and PrEP services in Indian Health Service, Tribal and Urban Indian clinics. The program will focus on the rationale for HIV care & PrEP, HIV screening and diagnosis, indications and contraindications for PrEP and PEP, HIV treatment basics, how to start PrEP, case management, and addressing complications.

The training program includes an opportunity to engage in didactic presentations, become part of a learning community, and join the Infectious Disease ECHO program. Free CE is available.

Who Should Attend: Tribal leaders, decision-makers, administration, physicians, advanced practice providers, pharmacists, nurses, behavioral health specialists, chemical dependency counselors, peer support specialists, medical assistants, community health representatives, tribal community health providers or others interested in learning new skills to effectively integrate best practice HIV care & PrEP services at I/T/U facilities.
