The Peer Support Experience: In Our Own Words
August 10, 2:00-3:00pm Eastern Time (11:00am-12:00pm PT)
This webinar, led by panelists currently providing peer services, will introduce a new toolkit developed to provide guidance and strategies to integrate and sustain peer workers within homeless service organizations. Speakers will explore the impact of peer-led services on outcomes, identify opportunities for support, and reflect on their experiences with onboarding and daily operations in these roles.

Employing Peer Workers: An Organization's Perspective
August 29, 2:00-3:00pm Eastern Time (11:00am-12:00pm PT)
In this webinar, panelists will answer questions about the challenges and opportunities organizations experience when establishing new peer roles. Leaders at organizations with established peer roles will talk about the process of onboarding peers, such as building organizational buy-in, addressing stigma in policies and in the workplace, and recruiting and employing peer workers in an equitable way.

Next month, HHRC will be launching two new online courses: Trauma-Informed Outreach and Engagement and Supporting People Who Use Methamphetamine.
The Trauma-Informed Outreach and Engagement Online Course (3 CEUs) covers:

  *   Engagement with People Experiencing Homelessness
  *   Addressing Unsheltered Homelessness and Behavioral Health
The Supporting People Who Use Methamphetamine Online Course (1.5 CEUs) covers:

  *   Understanding the drivers and impacts of methamphetamine use
  *   Harm reduction strategies for methamphetamine
  *   Treatment modalities and housing support for methamphetamine use

The Housing People Who Use Drugs (PWUDs) Webinar Series<https://t.e2ma.net/click/v6gr3h/bz90pxg/zh08ro>, a five-part series, focuses on the complexities and considerations of providing housing services for people who are in active drug use and experiencing housing instability. The webinar topics include cultural competence, program models, federal funding for housing, and Section 8 barriers when working with PWUDs involved in the criminal legal system. Each webinar includes speakers from harm reduction organizations and other service agencies working with PWUDs from across the country.
