Dear MCAH community partner,

Oregon's Maternal, Child and Adolescent Health program (MCAH Title V) is excited to announce the formation of an Advisory Group for our 2025 statewide Needs Assessment. This group will meet for about 18 months starting in early November 2023. This group will guide the planning process for the Needs Assessment and contribute to the development of recommendations that will shape the priorities for the MCAH Title V work for the next five years.

At MCAH Title V, we are deeply committed to ensuring that the voices of families and communities are central to our advisory group. To achieve this, we are actively seeking partners to assist us in recruiting parent and family representatives for the group. The attached flyer and description of the project/role provide more detailed information and a link to the application.

We are especially interested in recruiting family reps from diverse communities who have had some experience or training as family leaders or have participated in advisory groups. (These may be family leaders trained through school or parenting programs, trained as Community health workers or doulas, people who have served on public health or CCO advisory groups, etc.) Family reps will be compensated for their time and receive support and training to participate in the Advisory Group meetings.

If you have any connections with people you think would make good family reps for this group or with programs that use family reps in their work, please share the attached recruitment flyer and the project/role description with them. (A text-only version of the flyer is included in English and Spanish at the end of this email.) If you would prefer that we reach out to them directly, feel free to respond to this email with the following information:

- Name of the program or individual

- Population that they represent/work with

- Contact person and email to reach out to

We greatly appreciate your assistance in connecting us with potential parent and family representatives for the MCAH Title V Needs Assessment Advisory Group. If you have any questions or wish to discuss this opportunity in more detail, please do not hesitate to reach out to me. Your input and engagement are vital to the success of this initiative.

Sincerely, Nurit Fischler
