NASTAD Drug User Health is pleased to present the Housing and Harm Reduction Resources Walkthrough webinar on Thursday, November 2, from 3-4:15 PM ET. The webinar will explore NASTAD’s new housing and harm reduction resources, including Thinking About Starting a Supportive Housing Program? Recommendations and Considerations for the Planning Process<https://nastad.org/resources/housing-program-recommendations-and-considerations> and the Harm Reduction and Housing Video Series<https://nastad.org/resources/harm-reduction-and-housing-video-series>.  In addition, we will be joined by Jen Elder, Director of the SAMHSA Homeless and Housing Resource Center<https://hhrctraining.org/>, who will discuss TA, resources, and training opportunities offered through their program. This webinar will present the new Recommendations and Considerations for the Planning Process resource. Informed by conversations with current housing and harm reduction service providers, this resource may be used to help inform programmatic development for supportive housing. It is intended for governmental and community-based organizations that are interested in developing housing programs within their organization or collaborating with other partners in their communities. This resource was developed through the SAMHSA- and CDC-funded National Harm Reduction Technical Assistance Center<https://harmreductionhelp.cdc.gov/s/>, in collaboration with Grey Matters Consulting.



Released in June 2023, the Harm Reduction and Housing Video Series<https://nastad.org/resources/harm-reduction-and-housing-video-series> and accompanying infographic, Applying Harm Reduction in Housing Settings<https://nastad.org/sites/default/files/2023-06/PDF-Applying-Harm-Reduction-in-Housing-Settings-062323.pdf>, explores the complexities related to harm reduction within supportive housing and temporary shelter programs. This resource was developed through the National Harm Reduction Technical Assistance Center<https://harmreductionhelp.cdc.gov/s/>, in collaboration with Facente Consulting.



Established by SAMSHA in August 2020 and operated by Policy Research, Inc., the Homeless and Housing Resource Center<https://hhrctraining.org/> works in partnership with national experts in homelessness, mental health, and substance use services as a centralized hub of easily accessible trainings and resources for health and housing professionals in evidence-based practices that contribute to housing stability, recovery, and an end to homelessness.
