CSTE invites you to a preview of our upcoming online interactive training!

Join our webinar, "Engaging with Sensitivity to Improve Data Collection During Case Investigations: Techniques for Interviewing Persons Experiencing Homelessness, Disability, and Substance Use Disorders,” on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at 3:00 pm EDT to hear more about this upcoming training opportunity.

Objective: This training demonstrates how to use culturally responsive, respectful, and trauma-informed interactions to encourage rapport building and information sharing during case investigations with populations that experience disproportionate impacts from some reportable diseases.

Key aspects of the training include:

  *   Field-informed: Developed with input from a CSTE jurisdictional workgroup comprising 15 state and local health departments
  *   Versatile: Applicable for investigators/disease intervention specialists of all specialties
  *   Designed for professionals: Techniques taught using gamification and vignettes to reinforce best practices for adult learning 
Speakers from CDC, CSTE, the Colorado School of Public Health, and the jurisdictional workgroup will discuss the training and its development, including a demonstration of its interactive case study.
