Hello Chime In Community Partners!
My name is Christina Maguire, and I am the project manager for Chime In. Some of you may have just heard from me about the focus group. I am reaching out to ask for assistance in finding folks for our community key informant interviews.
For those that are less familiar with Chime In, we are a part of National HIV Behavioral Surveillance (NHBS) which is a CDC funded project that assess risk behaviors and prevention service use among people at increased risk for HIV. In a typical year, Chime In staff collect survey data and conduct anonymous incentivized HIV testing with 500 participants in Portland. The project population rotates annually among: 1) men who have sex with men (MSM), 2) people who inject drugs (PWID), and 3) low-income heterosexuals (HET). This year we are focusing on PWID and are looking to learn directly from those in the PWID community.
We will be holding interviews throughout March and early April. Myself and our wonderful Field Operations Manager, Eduardo will be leading the interviews. We are willing to travel to folks that are wanting to participate, or they can travel to our office 800 NE Oregon St. The survey is incentivized and will last about an hour. Our ask, is that you advertise our flyer (attached) for folks to reach out to us, directly tell folks to reach out to us, OR let us know days/times we can come out to you and connect with potential participants. We would love the opportunity to visit your organization and see the great work that you do!
We greatly appreciate any help and insight that you can help us with. We would not be able to our work without our wonderful community partners!
Thank you so much,
Christina Maguire, MPH (She/Her)
