Presenters from New Orleans, Black Hawk County, and Lubbock will be sharing their best tips and tricks for using media platforms and community engagement to connect people with syphilis resources. This webinar will review the background of distributing smoking supplies as a harm reduction strategy and then will go over the results of this project and lessons learned. Remedy Alliance is very excited to announce the launch of a drug checking implementation toolkit! This toolkit focuses on the implementation of advanced technology, point of care, harm reduction-based drug checking services for people who use drugs. To introduce the toolkit, we will be hosting a Zoom webinar on October 10th, from 10-11AM PT/ 11-12pm MT/ 12-1pm CT/ 1-2pm ET. Learn how to navigate the toolkit, discover new resources, and find the information you're looking for. We will have time for Q&A. This event is free, but registration is required. This is a full-time, permanent, classified position and is represented by a union. This recruitment may be used to establish a list of qualified candidates to fill current or future vacancies. This position falls under the classification of Program Analyst 1.
What you will do!
As a CAREAssist Case Worker, you will provide technical assistance to individuals and/or health professionals that enable people living with HIV access to health insurance, medical care and medications. You will provide individualized client level insurance coordination including health insurance enrollment activities, access to medications through our pharmacy network, ADAP recertification and other assistance and referrals to maintain access to medical care, medications and HIV treatment through the AIDS Drug Assistance Program. You will advocate for program clients with other benefit programs for which they may be eligible. In addition, you will participate in program projects and trainings that enhance the lives and health of people living with HIV, provide information for improvements to the program's policies and procedures and work with a collaborative team and community.
What we are looking for:
Minimum Qualifications:
* A Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, or a degree related to the agency program that demonstrates the capacity for the knowledge and skills. OR
* Any combination of experience or education equivalent to (3) three years technical-level experience that typically supports the knowledge and skill requirements listed for the classification.
Desired Attributes:
* Bilingual Spanish Preferred. This language skill is not required but preferred.
* Experience and/or training as a case manager or case worker.
* Experience in assessing needs, determining program eligibility, and facilitating access to services and benefits through direct service provision or information and referral.
* Experience and/or training as a Certified Application Counselor in Oregon or other experience/training related to public and private health insurance.
* Experience and/or training in Medicare, Medicaid, and/or private insurance enrollment and navigation.
* Experience working with vulnerable populations.
* Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
* Experience creating, promoting, welcoming, and maintaining a culturally competent and diverse work environment.
Working Conditions:
The work of this role will be performed on-site as this position delivers direct services and does meet with clients on-site at the Portland State Office Building, The Portland State Office Building is located at 800 NE Oregon Street, Portland, OR 97232. Work location can be changed at any time at the discretion of the hiring manager.

As you know, Tell Your Partner<https://tellyourpartner.org/> is being utilized by STD programs across the country as an anonymous notification service to inform sexual partners that they may have been exposed to a sexually transmitted infection, and to recommend testing.
While NCSD continues to improve the TYP service, we seek to evaluate the current state and needs of tellyourpartner.org.
