The 2025 HIV Continuum of Care Conference<https://www.oraetc.org/calendar/2025/10/21/hiv-continuum-of-care-conference> is coming up in a few weeks (October 21-22), and the organizers would love help getting the word out. They have created a Promotion Kit<https://www.canva.com/design/DAGygGqKVRE/nc30jhsKwwbZ6C3dWosGRg/view?utm_content=DAGygGqKVRE&utm_campaign=designshare&utm_medium=link2&utm_source=uniquelinks&utlId=h32cf04756a> including email language, graphics, and social media assets. Please share widely!

The CDC nPEP guidelines<https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/74/rr/pdfs/rr7401a1-H.pdf> (published in May 2025) have been updated as of September 18, 2025 and an erratum<https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/74/wr/mm7435a3.htm> has been published. The corrected guidelines recommend the inclusion of a diagnostic HIV nucleic acid test (NAT) when conducting an initial medical evaluation for persons with long-acting injectable PrEP ARV exposure during the last 6 months [previously 12 months]. Please be sure that you are referencing the updated version that has this notice on the cover page:

On September 18, 2025, CDC published new Clinical Recommendations <https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/74/wr/mm7435a1.htm?s_cid=OS_mm7435a1_w&ACSTrackingID=USCDCNPIN_6-DM150332&ACSTrackingLabel=CDC%20Recommends%20New%20Injectable%20HIV%20PrEP%20&deliveryName=USCDCNPIN_6-DM150332> for twice-a-year injectable lenacapavir as an additional option for HIV prevention in the United States. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved injectable lenacapavir, a prescribed medication, for HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) in June 2025. This is a significant step forward in expanding prevention options and reflects decades of research, partnership, and commitment to ending the HIV epidemic. Read the full announcement here<https://www.cdc.gov/nchhstp/director-letters/New-Injectable-HIV-PrEP%20.html?ACSTrackingID=USCDCNPIN_6-DM150332&ACSTrackingLabel=CDC%20Recommends%20New%20Injectable%20HIV%20PrEP%20&deliveryName=USCDCNPIN_6-DM150332>.
