The nomination form is now live<https://app.smartsheet.com/b/form/51dad20c2766490b8d980d39ab6b9bdc> for HST's third annual LPHA Community Service Award!
This award is intended to honor a local public health staff person or program who made a distinguished, unique or exceptional contribution to the field of HIV/STD/TB prevention or case investigation.
Nominations are due Friday, February 27. The chosen awardee will be alerted by the end of March, and the award will be presented at the 2026 Annual Oregon Epidemiologists' Meeting.

No Cost Syphilis Point of Care Tests Available!
The First To Know(r) Syphilis Test<https://firsttoknow.com/> is available for no cost from NOW Diagnostics. The First To Know(r) Syphilis Test is the only CLIA-waived, over-the-counter, point of care diagnostic test for syphilis that provides accurate results in just 15 minutes. The test detects syphilis antibodies using human whole blood. The available tests expire mid-March 2026. Diagnostics Your Way Offering Free HIV and STI Test Kits
Diagnostics Your Way is pleased to offer 100 Free HIV and STI testing kits to health departments and community-based organizations (CBOs) until April. The test mix can be customized to include HIV, viral hepatitis, and chlamydia, gonorrhea, and syphilis. Creatinine/EGFR can also be included for PrEP testing. All kits, 2-way postage, white-labeled platform to manage patient orders/registrations, and case management are provided at no charge.
