2-Spirit & LGBTQIA+ community organizations to organize in-person PRIDE celebrations in Ontario, La Grande, Pendleton, and The Columbia Gorge region. In some cases, these are the first-ever community Pride celebrations.

for all members of our 2-Spirit & LGBTQIA+ communities. When EOCIL began in 1997, we witnessed firsthand how our 2-Spirit & LGBTQIA+ community members, with and without disabilities, faced stigma, exclusion, and disparities. We committed to reshaping our eastern
Oregon community so that our 2-Spirit & LGBTQIA+ community members did not have to move from eastern Oregon to metropolitan areas to experience inclusion, acceptance, and support. It has not been easy, and even though we have seen more communities and agencies
become inclusive, we lost too many 2-Spirit & LGBTQIA+ community members to suicide, incarceration, and overdose. This year we renew the cornerstone of our advocacy efforts by adopting the philosophy “A community that excludes even ONE member is NO community
