<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif;color:black">The OHA, HIV/STD/TB Section did not receive a new CDC award for the National HIV Behavioral Surveillance (NHBS) project before the end of the budget period and has begun demobilizing
the project.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif;color:black"> <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif;color:black">NHBS is a CDC survey initiative that collects data on HIV-related behaviors and outcomes among populations disproportionately affected by HIV. The project gathers information through
interviews and offers anonymous HIV testing in major U.S. cities to monitor trends in sexual behavior, drug use, risk awareness, and use of prevention services. In Oregon, this project was known as Chime In and was delivered under contract with Portland State
University.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif;color:black"> <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif;color:black">OHA and Portland State University will continue collaborating through March to finalize the most recent dataset and update the project dashboard. While it is difficult to see an
established project come to an end, the OHA, HIV Prevention Program remains committed to monitoring HIV trends and supporting prevention efforts statewide. You can access the most current HIV data and analysis reports anytime on the

specialist from AAHIVM. Dr Horwitch graduated from University of Arizona, College of Medicine. She completed her Master of Public Health at University of California, Berkeley. She is a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Washington.
She has presented on multiple different topics such as taking a sexual history, HIV care, transgender care, medical ethics and professionalism, medical improve and laughter. She has done training for HIV care in the United States and Internationally – including
