[IWRS] May 2015 Implementation Update

Good Afternoon,

The Water Resources Department would like to take this opportunity to provide a quick update on implementation activities that support Oregon's 2012 Integrated Water Resources Strategy. Attached is a one-page briefer, which is also available online<http://www.oregon.gov/owrd/LAW/docs/IWRS/2015_05_IWRS_Update_Final.pdf>, highlighting the following items:


*         Public hearings regarding proposed rules for grants/loans begins this week, with the first hearing scheduled for this evening in Pendleton

*         Solicitation now open for feasibility study grants

*         Place-based planning guidelines available online

*         Updated guidebook for municipal water management and conservation planning

*         Willamette Basin Reservoir Study

*         Toxics study released by Oregon Department of Environmental Quality

*         Oregon's next IWRS due in 2017

The Department will use this mailing list to send out similar updates on a more frequent basis.  We will continue to post information to the project website as well.  If you would like us to include a particular update in future mailings, please let me know.
