Place-Based Planning Meetings
The IWRS recommended that the state help communities undertake an integrated, place-based approach to water resources planning. Place-based planning is a voluntary, locally initiated effort in which a balanced representation of water interests within a particular place partner with the state to understand and meet their instream and out-of-stream water needs. Four areas received grants to pilot this approach in partnership with the Water Resources Department. For more information about place-based planning and the four pilot areas, visit our web-page: http://bit.ly/owrdplanning.
