<p class="MsoNormal">I’m pleased to share NPC Research’s <i><a href="http://www.oregon.gov/osl/LD/Pages/youthsvcs/rfhf.overview.history.aspx">Reading for Healthy Families: Final Evaluation Report</a></i>! Reading for Healthy Families (RFHF) was a statewide
early literacy training project for Healthy Start/Healthy Families Oregon home visitors and Oregon children’s librarians that took place from 2008-2011. RFHF adapted
<i>Every Child Ready to Read @ your library</i>, a national evidence-based early literacy curriculum, to be appropriate for home visitors to use with individual families in their homes while still being appropriate for group presentations at libraries. The
final evaluation reports on the impact of early literacy education sessions on families, early literacy services provided by participants, and local partnerships among participants from different programs.

<p class="MsoNormal">If you or one of your coworkers use <i>Every Child Ready to Read</i>, you may be interested to know the following results in particular. These and other results presented in this report may be useful for writing grants to fund early literacy
projects at your library, developing partnerships with early childhood professionals in your community, or to advocate for maintaining (or increasing!) funding of your current early literacy projects.

reported that their child participates in reading by asking questions, turning pages, or acting out parts of a book.<o:p></o:p></p>
