<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify">The St. Helens Public Library is seeking a youth librarian to serve the children, teens and parents of our community. Fresh ideas and the development of creative programs and services are encouraged and supported.
Our ongoing programming includes teen game nights and weekly early literacy enhanced story times for babies, toddlers and preschoolers.

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify">We are engaged in extensive outreach to area preschools, educational groups, and other community groups that serve families. The youth librarian is also responsible for youth collection development. The successful
candidate will be a community-oriented individual who effectively represents the library and collaborates well with our partners in educational and social service settings. A master’s degree in library science from an American Library Association (ALA) accredited
institution is required. Spanish language skills are not required but are desirable.
