At the beginning of the selection I mentioned that beautiful book to all of you as <b>not </b>eligible to compete because the illustrator was born in Mexico and because I couldn’t find anywhere a reference of where he lives (everything indicated that his residence was still in Mexico, thus I assumed that his residence was still in that country). My fault, I should have called to Cinco Puntos Press to get more info. A lesson for me and a disappointment, especially because it’s a beautiful informative story, very well written and illustrated, and representative of our Latino culture.
