Warrenton, changing their hours</a> to be able to offer a more welcoming space for youth.

<p class="MsoNormal"><span class="d2edcug0">I’ve been pondering collective grief this week as we’ve recently lost authors who have meant a great deal to many folks – both

Gary Paulsen</a> and <a href="https://www.npr.org/2021/10/20/1047786312/jerry-pinkney-illustrator-obituary?fbclid=IwAR3hwelrN_63bj_SVaIIBe94LcJjADQQYPrBDIQ3DeCxoGbjbPKb5ordkUA">
Jerry Pinkney</a> leave a vast amount of work that takes up space on our shelves and in our hearts, and in the hearts of many readers we serve.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span class="d2edcug0">These past two years we have lost access to so many of our communal spaces and times together that help us honor the people we love. Our kids and teens have lost so many public spaces that were safe and welcoming
places to gather and be together in. I really appreciate the ways you are all creatively offering resources to be those spaces for our communities. Thank you for your work.
