Hi,
I'm a nurse and division director for public health at Marion Co.  I've
been in public health long enough to have been a generalist to start,
but my public health experience has mostly been in communicable disease.
 I also spent about 11 years at a local hospital as the infection
control nurse.
 
We are slowly working through the accreditation measures.  Overall it
has provided a helpful framework for program evaluation. I'm struck by
the fact that we do many things in the course of our work, but if we
don't document or have an official policy, it's not going to meet the
accreditation standards.

We have tested the listserv and it seems to be working.  
 
There are about 30 of you on the list.  
 
You all have permission set to post to the listserv, i.e. it is not a
moderated list, so please remember to use the listserv to exchange
content.
 
To begin, and test that it works for you, consider sharing a brief
[very brief] bio of yourself so we know each other?
 
tom engle - i am a nurse and work at the state PH division, community
liaison section, work with county health departments, have been a county
health administrator at a couple counties before coming to the state 10
years ago.
 
Please begin sharing your accreditation thoughts and content.
