Good afternoon,

The Public Health Division is beginning a new Plan-Do-Check-Act training series on August 31 (see attached poster). This is a series that is designed to serve divisional needs, and we are hopeful it could be a platform for building future QI training for our system. I would like to invite you to join us in the Portland State Office Building, if you are interested.

The workshops are currently designed as in-person learning opportunities, so realize this is a hardship for many across our state. There is an online training, "Introduction to Quality Improvement", that is currently housed in the DHS, Learning Center. Would be happy to send you a copy on disc while we figure out how to get you access. The training is closely aligned to NACCHO's similar presentation.

September will see the formation of a work group to guide public health system QI training and support. You will also see a survey to help us better understand where and how QI tools and concepts are being used in our community so we can leverage existing best practices to design training that can be used, equally, from any chair.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
Lydia
