[LHDAccreditation] Accreditation Work Group meeting follow-up

Thank you everyone for participating in the Accreditation Work Group meeting this afternoon! Here are the two items I promised to send the group today.


1.       State Health Profile draft data is available online for public comment through Friday, August 17: http://public.health.oregon.gov/ProviderPartnerResources/PublicHealthAccreditation/Pages/HealthStatusIndicators.aspx



2.       Request:



Staff within the Public Health Division are working on a project to collect a streamlined list all of the different public health metrics in use in the field, including those from County Health Rankings, the Oregon State Health Profile, Coordinated Care Organizations and other sources.  In order to make sure we have the best sense of what metrics are being used in the field, we'd also like to include any metrics that local public health authorities are including in their community health assessments and plans.



If you have a list of metrics or indicators in your Community Health Assessment or Community Health Improvement Plan, and you want those metrics/indicators included in this project, you can send them to Cara Railsback at cara.b.railsback at state.or.us<mailto:cara.b.railsback at state.or.us>. Cara will incorporate your metrics/indicators into a larger reference tool. This will become a resource that all health departments can access to identify which indicators currently have data collected in Oregon, and whether other health departments are also measuring that indicator for other CHA and CHIP activities. To share your health department's indicators or metrics, please send them to Cara<mailto:cara.b.railsback at state.or.us> by COB Wednesday, August 15.

Meeting minutes and updated GovSpace documentation request instructions will be sent in the next couple of weeks. And please let me know if you have any questions about the two items above.
