Please note that the application to apply for an OHA VISTA member for
2013-2014 is actually due by 5pm on *April 26*, the last email had a
misprint. Information about the application below.

Good morning,****

I am attaching the application to apply for an August 2013-2014 Oregon
Health Authority VISTA member. The applications *are due by 5 pm on Friday,
April, 26, 2013*. We have changed the application due to some program
changes, so please review carefully. In addition, the VISTA Assignment
Description (VAD) needs to be more detailed and have a stronger tie to the
VISTA anti-poverty mission. I have also attached a document, "How to Write
Effective VADs". Please read that document and use as your guide. Finally,
I have attached a sample VAD from Marion County that you may also want to
review as another resource.****

Please make sure to mark on the application whether or not you will be able
to cost-share: $11, 136 for rural Oregon, or 11, 352 for metro areas for
the year. Based on final CNCS approval, we hope to have 13 standard
positions which will cost $ 2,500 (slight increase from last year) for the
year and then at least 7 cost-share positions.  If your site can
cost-share, you will have a stronger chance to be guaranteed a VISTA
resource.****
