CLHO's intern, Wendy Kane, has been developing a new QI Tool for Oregon
health departments-- a comprehensive "one-stop shop" QI reporting, tracking
and communications tool.

Based on background research, informational interviews, and discussions
with partners in other states, she has developed a set of tools for health
departments to use for their QI tracking and reporting, and tools for a
state-wide system (possibly online) to track and share QI project ideas,
lessons learned and data on improvement activities across the state.

This tool includes templates for:

-Developing a QI project charter,
-Logging QI projects,
-Reporting out on QI results,
-Developing a QI project storyboard,
-Calculating return on investment (ROI) for QI projects,
-Creating communication tools to use with community partners outside of
your health department.

The tools are intended not only to help health departments develop
accreditation documentation, but to also help as you develop a Continuous
Quality Improvement program that will strengthen your health department
across all your work.

We are hosting a webinar to introduce you to the draft tool, walk through a
few QI examples using the set of tools and get feedback on ways to improve
the tool.

Please save the date for the webinar on* **Tuesday, May 14th 10-12*. Agenda
and webinar information will be sent out soon.

Thank you,
Erin
