All the jargon involved in public health performance improvement can be
confusing: In order to apply for *accreditation*, health departments need
to work towards cultures of *quality* and practice *performance management*.
They also need to ensure they can effectively represent their community
thorough a *health improvement planning *process. There are several
documents needed: a CHA, a CHIP, a Strategic Plan, a QI Plan, a Workforce
Development Plan, a performance management system, several implementation
plans, and more - oh and let's not forget that these documents should all
be linked!


So where does a health department start? What happens when certain pieces
are already in place? How do staff ensure that effort isn't wasted and that
all this work is done efficiently and effectively? Join us for NACCHO's
next Performance Improvement webinar to learn how all the pieces fit
together and how to best guide your agency through all these important
processes. This webinar will feature an interactive presentation by Julia
Joh Elligers, NACCHO's Senior Director of Performance Improvement and
Workforce Development. The presentation will include an overview of
important principles, topics, and documents, and clearly lay out steps for
HDs to follow on their journeys. There will also be information from health
departments across the country, and audience members will be asked to share
their stories and input.
