Hi All,

PHAB is hosting a think tank from 10am to 11am PST today,Tuesday, June 9th.
If you are able to participate it would be great if they could hear your
input!

*PHAB Plans Think Tank to Address Accreditation Barriers for Small Health
Departments*
PHAB is starting a new initiative related to the accreditation of health
departments that serve populations of fewer than 50,000 people. Although
several health departments of this size have attained PHAB accreditation,
PHAB has heard from other health departments that there is a need to hold
some discussions about the barriers they face. PHAB is committed to
exploring potential avenues to address those barriers. A group of health
department representatives interested in advising PHAB on this work will
convene in the PHAB offices. A conference line will be opened from 1:00-2:00
p.m. Eastern Time, for the think tank members to participate in an
interactive webinar with small/rural health departments on the discussion
question "*What are the Potential Elements of an Accreditation Product
Customized for Small Health Departments?" If you are interested in
