About this Webinar
Community practitioners continue to seek better ways to incorporate trauma-informed practices and policies in systems that are built to provide safety, healing, and justice.

This two-part webinar series will explore how a survivor’s ability to access services can be affected by the intersections of trauma, bias, violence, and other identities.

In this webinar, we will look closely at the impact of culture on an individual’s trauma and healing; how language, food, customs, status, spiritual beliefs, and other cultural lived realities can impact in an individual’s experience of violence and trauma.

Advocates and systems will learn how to link trauma-informed practices to engagement, support, and advocacy. We will also discuss ways to expand safety protocols when navigating systems.

Olga Trujillo is the Director of Education and Social Change at Latinos United for Peace & Equity, a project of Caminar Latino. Her experience over the past 30 years has been as a private attorney, an attorney for the U.S. Department of Justice, and a consultant to many local, state and national organizations. Over the past 20 years, Olga has been working with law enforcement, prosecutors and courts to enhance their response to domestic violence, sexual assault, trafficking victims and immigrant communities. She is an internationally sought speaker and author.
