Subject: Upcoming PHAB Webinars
Hello!
PHAB is excited to announce several upcoming, interactive webinars for accredited health departments. Please feel free to share these webinar opportunities with any of your staff that may be interested!
PHAB Interactive Webinar on Population Health Outcomes
On April 11, 2019 2:00-3:00 pm EST, "Population Health Outcomes: The Big Picture" will feature Dr. David Kindig. We encourage all accredited health departments to plan to participate! This will help in your journey toward reaccreditation.
At the end of the webinar, participants will be able to:
* Describe the Kindig framework for population health
* Discuss the current status of population health measurement
* Describe the role that health departments can play in improving population health through accurate and timely measurement
* Identify strategies for health departments to use in selecting/prioritizing measures for tracking
David A. Kindig is Emeritus Professor of Population Health Sciences and Emeritus Vice-Chancellor for Health Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, School of Medicine and Public Health. He currently is Co-Chair of the Institute of Medicine Roundtable on Population Health Improvement and Co-Directs the Wisconsin site of the Robert Wood Johnson Health & Society Scholars Program. He was an initial Co-PI on the Robert Wood Johnson MATCH grant under which the County Health Rankings were developed and was the Founder of the RWJF Roadmaps to Health Prize.

Feedback Wanted from Accredited Health Departments
A second set of webinars is an opportunity for accredited health departments to provide feedback to PHAB about a new data visualization tool that we are planning to launch in the coming months. This tool will allow the public health community to explore selected, de-identified data on health departments who have gone through the accreditation process. There will be additional functionality only available to accredited health departments for benchmarking their performance against other similar departments. We are holding two virtual focus groups to get your thoughts about what would make this resource most useful. We will provide a brief overview of our current plans, but the purpose of the call is to hear from you!
The content of the calls is the same, so we encourage you to attend one of them. Please plan to join one of these calls on Tuesday, March 12 at 2:00-3:00 EST or Wednesday, March 13 at 3:00-4:00 EST.
