<p>Did you know that NACCHO hosts a peer exchange network for performance improvement workforce in public health? NACCHO's Performance Improvement Peer Learning (PIPL, as in "people") Network is a virtual community for performance improvement practitioners, including people who work in the areas of accreditation preparation, quality improvement, performance management, CHA/CHIP, and health equity. Launched in 2019, PIPL brings together almost 400 members from the public health and healthcare community
to share resources, experiences, enhance knowledge, and discuss emerging performance improvement topics. In the coming months, participants in this forum will have the opportunity to discuss and learn more about various emerging topics including Mobilizing for Action through Planning and Partnership, Quality Improvement, Change Management, and more!</p>

NACCHO, with support from the National Center for Health, Physical Activity, and Disability (NCHPAD), announced that two local health departments — Champaign-Urbana Public health District (Illinois) and Wichita Falls, Wichita County Public Health District (Texas) — were each awarded grants of $10,000 to participate in the Increasing Disability Inclusion in the Mobilizing for Action Through Planning and Partnerships (MAPP) Process project. This project will support LHDs as they include
people with disabilities in their community health assessment and/or community health improvement plan efforts using the MAPP framework and the new MAPP Resource Guide for Disability Inclusion. This will ensure data is collected and used to inform strategic priorities and place-based programs and services that support the health of people with disabilities. NACCHO and NCHPAD will provide tools and resources, technical assistance, and subject matter expertise throughout the project period. Each grantee
will participate in one-on-one technical assistance calls led by NACCHO to provide guidance on including people with disabilities throughout the MAPP process, as well as develop a success story to highlight their work to the local community and so that other local health departments can learn from their experience. <p>PH-TIPP is accepting applications for the 2020 class through February 28, 2020. PH-TIPP participants are in leadership and management roles in public, private, and academic organizations. They are physicians, veterinarians, or nurses with an MPH or doctoral-level scientists with coursework equivalent to a MPH. Candidates may not be in another training program while participating in PH-TIPP. Here are the benefits:</p>

<li>Participants receive formal mentoring and training from experts both internal and external to CDC while staying in their current jobs.</li>
<li>Supervisors can support the professional development goals of their employees at little cost to the organization.</li>
<li>Organizations can more effectively apply population health practices to protect and improve the health of their communities.</li>

a division of the Public Health Accreditation Board, is excited to announce that the second annual

<strong>June 23, 2020, in Washington, D.C</strong>.
Below you will find information on the event and a link to both the application to attend and abstract submission process.

This invitation-only event will bring together leaders from health departments to share and learn from innovative work in public health and other sectors to inform their own efforts and the national movement around public health innovation. We aim to share strategies from communities that have used innovation to create meaningful change, discuss barriers and opportunities to innovation in the public health system, and strategize how to advance innovation.

The Summit & Showcase agenda includes:</p>

<p>A keynote address on what governmental public health practice can learn from other sectors advancing innovation in their field (details to be announced soon!).</p>

<p>TED-style presentations featuring innovation stories from the field.</p>

<li>Showcase presentations from health departments, including perspectives from leadership and staff engaging in innovative work across the country.</li>
<li>
<p>The launch of a revised
<strong><a href="http://send.naccho.org/link.cfm?r=f3HK9x_rnbV5-Dt_lHCZCA~~&pe=dt4EB7Bl8HIn6lhrlaDUNEb-fIL-p5G797xF-bBaNwlhULmr4WU50p4sZMun6w_4yE-CTyjeEYBHLDcpGeulvA~~&t=rMnE_3ZEwTeRc6x5fWKqCQ~~" target="_blank"><span style="color:#6d276a">10 Essential Public Health Services</span></a></strong>
framework, developed alongside the field as we acknowledged the 25th anniversary of the framework's development.</p>

<p>We aim to bring together innovators from the field to share with, and learn from, each other and to shape the future of public health. To make this the best Summit & Showcase possible, we need you! We are looking for public health professionals who are risk takers and innovators and are looking for an opportunity to share their perspectives and work with other innovators to guide the field into the future. There are two ways that you can contribute:</p>

While all applications will be considered, we will not be able to select everyone that applies due to limited space.</p>

<li><strong>To present – </strong>complete the application to participate and then
