3D printing was pretty loose here and hard to track without a policy in place. Very sporadic requests and uneven.
Our director came up with a policy here: https://www.seasidelibrary.org/3d-printing
We were piggybacking on policies we saw in other libraries in other libraries around the state
Here's the Sherwood Public Library page about 3D printing:
https://www.sherwoodoregon.gov/library/page/3d-printing-request-sherwood-public-library
West Linn has this PDF available along with a Google form:

Corvallis-Benton has this one:

Hope that helps!

Hello library friends,
We are working on creating a policy for our 3d printers here in Mt. Angel, and I would like to hear from other libraries who have a 3d printing lab and have an effective policy in place. Specifically:
*
What limitations do you place on individual print projects?
*
Do you charge for printing, and if so, how much?
*
Do you limit the number of prints a patron can get in a month/year?
*
How do you enforce your policy?
Any insights you can offer on managing a 3d printing program would be fantastic. I am looking to create more programming using our printers and would like to learn more.
Thank you very much!
