Application Form for LIOLA opening in February!
Applications for the Leadership Institute of the Oregon Library Association (LIOLA) will be accepted starting February 15th. LIOLA is a hybrid program with both in-person and virtual sessions. In-person sessions will be held at the Mt. Hood Resort July 17-18 with virtual sessions in August. Why should I go to LIOLA?

The Leadership Institute of the Oregon Library Association (LIOLA) is a training program designed to help you identify and learn about your leadership style. It also provides you with the insight to know where and how your skill sets can best be used, even if you do not have a defined leadership role in your library. You will be teamed with a mentor and peer group to provide encouragement and support as you implement your new knowledge in your work and in the Oregon Library Association (OLA).



Why is participation in OLA important?

OLA supplies a web of support to Oregon libraries through advocacy, education, leadership, and collaboration, and it cannot do this important work without volunteers. Your mentor will be able to help you determine how best to use your skills in OLA, whether that is volunteering in an OLA unit (there are 27 to choose from!), presenting a session at a conference, or writing an article for the OLA online publication the Hotline. Any way you choose to be involved, you will discover a network of dedicated colleagues and library supporters.
