Hi Jackie,
Two organizations that contribute to immigrant legal fees come to mind:
- Ecumenical Ministries of Oregon's SOAR <https://soarlegal.org/>
- Immigration Counseling Service <https://www.ics-law.org/>
Unfortunately, I know of both of these services due to an article
<https://www.oregonlive.com/politics/2025/02/feds-freeze-grant-funding-for-some-oregon-nonprofits-effective-immediately.html>
stating that their federal funding has been cut off. Searching a little, I
also found Catholic Charities
<https://www.catholiccharitiesoregon.org/services/migrant-services/immigration-legal-services/>.
Some municipalities also have their own lists of resources, like Portland's
<https://www.portland.gov/civic/immigrants/resources#toc-immigrant-and-refugee-legal-services>.
It's likely that many of these organizations are struggling due to the
federal government, though.
Best,
Eric Phetteplace
