The Washington Academic Library Division/ ACRL-WA<https://www.wla.org/academic> invites us to join an informal Zoom discussion focused on current and anticipated fiscal constraints to be held next week. See below for details.

Despite this coming together rather quickly, if there is interest, we can explore holding these on a regular basis.

Hello, Washington and Oregon Academic Librarians!



Next Thursday, June 5th from 1pm to 2pm, WLA-ALD and ACRL-OR will co-host a Zoom meet up to discuss how we are responding to current and anticipated fiscal constraints in libraries.  Both states have had their share of cuts and struggles, not to mention individual institutions having their own unique struggles. At times like these, and with some of us not traveling due to budgetary pressures, it helps to connect even if it's in a Zoom room.



There will also be an option if folks want it, to go into breakout rooms and have smaller sessions based on school type.  Expanding our networks in times of need helps when we run into a roadblock and wonder "has anyone else found a way to fund this or get creative?"
