[Libs-Or] LSTA Council seeking new members

The State Library of Oregon is accepting nominations for the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) Advisory Council<https://www.oregon.gov/library/libraries/Pages/lstaac.aspx>. Learn more about the Council in the member handbook<https://slo.oregon.gov/lstaac-handbook>.


OPEN POSITIONS

We are looking to fill the following positions:

  *
Academic Libraries Representative (1 position, a 3-year term)
  *
Library Users Representative (1 position, a 3-year term)
  *
Public Libraries Representative (1 position, a 3-year term)
  *
School Libraries Representative (1 position, a 3-year term)
  *
Representative for Underserved/Under-represented Persons (1 position, a 3-year term)
  *
Tribal Libraries Representative (1 position, a 3-year term)

Terms begin January 1, 2025. Members may receive reimbursement for reasonable expenses incurred in connection with serving on the Council, such as costs associated with participating virtually (example: headset) or engaging a substitute in order to attend meetings.


NOMINATION PROCESS

The nomination form<https://www.cognitoforms.com/StateLibraryOfOregon/LibraryServicesAndTechnologyActLSTAAdvisoryCouncilNominations> is open now and will close October 18. It is fine to nominate yourself or someone else you feel would be a good candidate.
