For some of our larger LOT's we have some heavy-duty large canvas bags that we use to send them out in. Here is a link to one that we use: https://a.co/d/0hTYXVsj
I'm not sure it would be large enough, but you might be able to find something similar if you need a larger one. Congrats on starting your Library of Things! People stop and look at ours all the time and are amazed that you can check stuff like that out. BTW.... our Ooni Pizza oven and our telescope are two of our best circulated items in the LOT's.
Have a great day,
Valerie

Subject: [Libs-Or] Library of Things: Tote for KitchenAid Mixer?
Hello wise ones!
The Astoria Public Library is starting a Library of Things, thanks in large part to a donation of kitchen equipment from North Coast Food Web.
One of the items is a KitchenAid standing mixer and I’m unsure how to package it for checkout. It’s 17” tall, 14” long and 12” wide. The only sturdy plastic tote I’ve found is enormous (31x20x17”) and costs $140 (eek!).
Anyone else have a standing mixer in their LOT? What do you use to keep all the pieces together and aid in carrying it? Plastic tote? Drawstring bag? Magic powder to make it smaller & lighter during transport?
Thanks in advance for any and all clever ideas!
