In addition to the <a
href="http://www.olaweb.org/mc/page.do?sitePageId=64393">Fall
Conference 2008 "Once & Future Catalog" program</a>, there will
also be two informal discussions on Thursday evening. <br>
<br>
The first discussion is centered on ways academic librarians in Oregon
and Washington can collaborate on undergraduate information literacy
and IL initiatives in the region.<br>
<br>
The second discussion explores the possibility of creating a NW library
research network. While demands for research data to inform decisions,
improve practice, program assessment and evaluation have been
increasing, adequate measures and instruments have lagged behind. The
facilitators will briefly outline various models for cooperative
research to provide background for further discussions. </font></font><strong><span

<small>ACRL-OR awards two scholarships to the ACRL Washington and
Oregon
Joint Fall Conference annually. The scholarship covers the registration
fee for the conference, including room and board, plus a $30 remittance
to assist in covering travel expenses. <a
