Academic libraries already do a fair amount in this area of collection development with their regional depositories and collaborative collection development. My focus, however, is public libraries (there’s always a catch!).</SPAN></FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face="Times New Roman" size=3><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt"></SPAN></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face="Times New Roman" size=3><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt"></SPAN></FONT><FONT face="Times New Roman" size=3><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt">Could you point me in the direction of libraries in Oregon that you believe have last copy collections, or barring that, libraries that come to mind as “good sources” for a comprehensive collection? For example, in California, I know the San Francisco Public Library has a “Last Copy Policy” component in their collection development/management policy. Or Los Angeles Public Library has an extensive California fiction collection.</SPAN></FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face="Times New Roman" size=3><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt"></SPAN></FONT> </DIV>
