<P>Primary responsibilities: Acquisitions: Ordering firm and standing orders:
books, videos and audio recordings, creating and maintaining order records using

records, assisting with licensing and verifying access. Receiving these
materials using Innovative Interfaces and sending invoices on for payment.
Selecting appropriate vendors for orders and maintaining working relationship

Cataloging: Precataloging searching on OCLC as part of the acquisitions
verification process. Copy cataloging of monographs for materials that have
corresponding Library of Congress cataloging using standard library protocols,
OCLC, and the library’s Innovative Interfaces system. May train and take lead
with 1-2 student employees and assist other departmental student employees in
the absence of their lead or supervisor.</P>

<P>Required Education/Skills/Knowledge: Education or training beyond high school
required. Exceptional organizational, analytical, interpersonal and
communication skills – both written and oral. Working knowledge of standard
library systems and procedures as they apply to the position including the
acquisitions and cataloging subsystems of an integrated library system
(preferably III). OCLC, and microcomputer applications necessary to the
position, e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, Web based resources.Capacity to work
positively with all members of the library team as well as vendor
representatives. Bachelor’s degree and 1-2 years pertinent library experience,
