<div>I'm a new member of this listserv and wanted to introduce myself. My name is Tawny Sverdlin and I'm relocating to the Portland area in the next few months. I am set to graduate from SJSU with my MLIS in May and am finishing my degree remotely. </div>

<div>I write for the newly launched industry news and social networking site <a href="http://www.libgig.com/">www.libgig.com</a> (<a href="http://www.libgig.com/tawny">www.libgig.com/tawny</a>). Most of my past experience has been in special collections and copy cataloging at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising where I have worked for two years. I am generally very tech savvy.</div>

<div>I'm interested in hearing about opportunities in the area for networking (Interlibrary Lush sounds fun!), library specialist jobs, internships, entry level librarian jobs and general introductions. I am excited to begin meeting some of you in person soon. I have been checking all the aggregated lists for jobs but we all know that talking to people in the field is better. </div>
