<P>Multnomah County Library is seeking a full time Project Manager who will work
closely with Library stakeholders and County Information Technology staff to
research, develop and manage projects to implement new and innovative approaches
to library services and service delivery methods, especially those that employ
new technological tools. Projects managed by the incumbent will generally be
outside the scope and functionality of the integrated library system (ILS) but
may interface with the ILS.</P>
<P>Requirements: Incumbent must be able to understand, interpret and make
decisions to operate within the boundaries of County contract, procurement and
finance procedures, of union contracts, personnel rules, county and library
policies and procedures and state and federal laws, rules and regulations that
apply to library operations. Any combination of experience and training that
would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A
typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: Training: Requires
the equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is desirable. Experience:
Five years of increasingly responsible library or library-related experience
including implementation of new programs and services and/or management of
projects, especially those that employ new and innovative uses of technology.

primary responsibility of the Grant Librarian will be to produce web based
information literacy tutorials. Tutorials can range from a demonstration of an
article database to an overview of the research process. The LSTA Grant
Librarian will script content, design web based tutorials, produce visual and
audible content of the tutorials, participate in review processes with others
producing tutorials, and publish tutorials to an open access repository. The
Librarian will also assist in publicizing and promoting use of the tutorials
within the greater library community and will report to the WOU Dean of Library
and Media Services. This is a full-time, 12-month appointment, to support and
promote the Cooperative Library Instruction Project (CLIP). CLIP is a
partnership between Western Oregon University, Oregon State University,
Willamette University, and Chemeketa Community College whose mission is to
design and develop open license web based tutorials to assist in library

filled)<BR>Oregon City, OR<BR><BR>The City of Oregon City is seeking a dynamic
and experienced leader to be its Library Director. The successful candidate will
have a passion, and strategic vision for library services. This is an exciting
and unique opportunity for a creative and motivated professional librarian to
lead the growth and enhancement of the City's library services after several
years of reduced hours and services due to budget constraints. With the
formation of a new Library District in the county cooperative network of city
libraries in the November 2008 election, funding has been restored and
stabilized via a permanent District tax rate. Additionally, the new Director
will be expected to lead the planning for constructing a new library building to
meet the needs of our community. The Oregon City Library is currently housed in
a leased space approximately 13,500 square feet in size. It is estimated that a
new facility will be 30,000 to 40,000 square feet in size. </P>
<P>Oregon City Library is part of the Library Information Network of Clackamas
County (LINCC), a library consortium serving 11 independent public libraries in
the county. The 11 independent public libraries form a cooperative by sharing a
single automation system and centralized bibliographic/electronic resources. <A

<P>We are proud of the fact that the working atmosphere in our consortium among
the library members and between the libraries and the LINCC Network staff is
very collaborative and friendly. LINCC libraries circulate over 6.2 million
items a year on their classic Dynix system, but are currently involved in a
migration to the new SirsiDynix Symphony product.</P>
<P>Education and Experience: Requires a Master of Library Science or Master of
Library Science and Information Studies from an A.L.A. accredited Masters
program and a minimum of five years of progressively responsible professional
library experience, including management and supervisory experience, which
demonstrates considerable knowledge in the principles and practices of general
administration and supervision, and extensive knowledge of the methods,
policies, practices, principles, and procedures of professional library
work.<BR><BR>Compensation and Benefits: Salary: $69,384 $82,632 $95,844 annually
with the median range as the target. The Library Director's position qualifies
for the pay-for-performance annual merit incentive program. Benefits Include:
vacation, sick leave, holidays, retirement (PERS), medical/vision/RX, dental,
life insurance, long term disability, HRA-VEBA, 125 flexible spending account,
