<p>In response to the National Archives and Records Administration’s (NARA) request for comments on ways that they might modify their present system of archiving and providing public access to presidential records, the ALA has signed on to a <a onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/downloadswo./districtdispatch/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/nara-rfi-preslibraries-final.pdf');" href="http://www.wo.ala.org/districtdispatch/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/nara-rfi-preslibraries-final.pdf"><font color="#9e0508">letter</font></a> that speaks to the need for openness and access to Presidential Records. Additionally, the letter expresses ALA’s concern that the comment period was too brief and asked if it might be extended.</p>
