<p>On Wednesday April, 22, the U.S. House of Representatives will consider a resolution in support of National Library Week. Every Member of Congress will have an opportunity to go to the House floor and make a statement on the value of libraries.</p>
<p>Please ask your representative to speak in support of the National Library Week Resolution. In addition to drawing from the <a onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/downloadswo./districtdispatch/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/construction-and-the-stimulus-package-_3_.pdf');" href="http://www.wo.ala.org/districtdispatch/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/construction-and-the-stimulus-package-_3_.pdf">ALA’s discussion points</a>, tell your representatives stories about your local libraries and how you are serving your communities. You might include some facts about your library or any interesting newspaper articles or some recent statistics about increased library usage to help your representative prepare a statement to read on the House floor.</p>
