<p class=MsoNormal>Leading and maintaining a healthy lifestyle is all about
having the information needed to make educated health decisions. This can
often be difficult with a myriad of sources out there sometimes providing
confusing and misleading information.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>Thanks to the<span style='color:red'> </span>more than $4
million donated to the Salem Hospital Foundation by numerous community members,
physicians and hospital employees, the new Community Health Education Center
(CHEC) opened in October on the Salem Hospital campus in Salem, Oregon and
provides the community one source for trusted health information. The
state-of-the-art facility is staffed with trained professionals including
health educators, nurses and a librarian all available to help connect
patients, families, and community members with the information they need to
make informed decisions.<o:p></o:p></p>

Anne Hepburn!<o:p></o:p></h3>
<p class=MsoNormal>It is with mixed feelings that Oregon Health Go Local is
saying goodbye to Anne Hepburn, our project assistant. She is leaving to be the
newest librarian at the <a href="http://pnca.edu/">Pacific Northwest College of
Art</a>. We are happy for her, but sad to see her go. In addition to getting a
professional job in this tough economy, Anne also recently earned her Masters
in Library Science from <a href="http://slim.emporia.edu/">Emporia State
University’s SLIM Program</a>. Anne began working with the Oregon Health Go
Local project in November, 2008. Her outside-the-box thinking, attention to
detail, sense of humor, and dedication to Oregon Health Go Local will be
