desire to network with other leaders and increase your skills in areas

until May 8th. Basic information is as follows:<br>

<b>DATES:</b> Sunday (evening) October 17th through (noon) Friday,
October 22nd<br>
<br>
<b>FACILITATORS:</b> Becky Schrieber & John Shannon, Schreiber
Shannon
Associates<br>
<br>
<b>QUALIFICATIONS FOR APPLICANTS:</b> Currently employed in a library;
five or
more years work in any library setting preferred; Current personal
member of
PNLA or affiliated state/provincial library association but nonmembers
are also
invited to apply; a completed application; 2 recommendation letters
from
colleagues or supervisor and 1 letter from sponsoring library which
indicates
level of support.<o:p></o:p></span></span></small></p>
<small><b><span
 style="font-family: "Tahoma","sans-serif"; color: black;">LOCATION:</span></b><span
 style="font-family: "Tahoma","sans-serif"; color: black;"> Schweitzer
Mountain Resort, 10000 Schweitzer Mountain Road,
Sandpoint, ID, 83864. Schweitzer Mountain Resort is nestled at the base
of the
Selkirk Mountains, in the Idaho panhandle, and overlooks Lake Pend
Oreille –
one of the largest freshwater lakes in the West. The resort is 86 miles
outside
of Spokane, Washington and about 45 miles south of the Canadian border.
The
retreat atmosphere ensures release from the demands of everyday
professional
life and guarantees minimal distractions in order for participants to
make the
most of the week long intensive institute. PNLA Leads participants are
expected
to attend the week-long institute without family members. Further

<br>
<b>COSTS:</b> Registration fees range between $1100-1300.  PNLA
personal
members of at least two years $1100.  Members of Alaska, Alberta,
British
Columbia, Idaho, Montana and Washington Library Associations $1200-1275
(based
on association support). Nonmembers $1300.  Registration fee due
September
1.<br>
<br>
Registration includes: lodging, meals, institute materials and
activities.
Attendees pay own transportation costs. Roundtrip shuttle to Schweitzer
from
the Spokane airport will be available at cost. <br>
