for the terrific support you gave me as a candidate for president of the 

American Library Association.  Now that I have been successful, I know that 

I will need your support more than ever.  I was very touched by the 

OLA Board's endorsement and appreciated all the support that came from State 

Librarian Jim Scheppke and OLA's Chapter Councilor ALA Suzanne Sager on 

libs-or.  Oregon's library community is vibrant and very welcoming to 

all who work in and support libraries.  It's been my privilege to meet so 

many wonderful people from the library community here in Oregon.  I 

look forward to carrying on our important work together.</SPAN></FONT></DIV>
